Sandra Gregory has over 25 years of experience in leadership and executive coaching, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), strategic human capital and business development.
She is a sought-after coach and has extensive coaching and consulting experience with clients from numerous organizations: a US Ambassador; executives from multi-billion international companies; accounting firms; HR firms; attorneys; clergy; major beverage distributor; American Red Cross; an IT start-up; National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Reserve Board and federal government leaders throughout the Departments of Defense (DoD), Veterans Affairs (VA), State, Agriculture, Justice, Commerce, Interior, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Homeland Security (DHS) and Transportation (Inspector General). She is committed to illuminating your leadership potential.
Before launching a career in executive coaching, Sandra had a successful professional career in the public and private sectors. As a U.S Air Force general officer, she completed her service as the Air Force’s Deputy Director of Budget for Operations and Personnel, responsible for $60 billion annual budget. Later she was invited to serve as a senior civilian advisor for the DoD Comptroller. As a corporate vice president of a $100 million management and technology services company, she successfully led a business development/delivery team.
As a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), Sandra is a passionate and personal leader who helps organizations implement strategic vision and garner buy-in from various stakeholders. Her exceptional skills yielded organizational changes and welcomed results when she:
• Created DoD’s Financial Workforce Management Office, supporting 60,000 people
• Incubated and delivered the DoD Financial Management Certification Program
• Testified to a Congressional panel on workforce issues and worked with Hill staffs
• Spoke to audiences of 4,000 people as national president of professional organization
• Taught college-level courses – named best instructor at DoD comptroller school
• Served on seven boards of directors – non-profits, banks, and government entities
Sandra enjoys working with clients who want to go to their next level of leadership. Her interactive coaching style, coupled with deep listening skills, guide client’s toward achieving their specific goals – and it is done with deeper dives into growth with accountability and homework as foundations of achieving results. Her coaching focus areas include enhancing
leadership; executive presence; managing others; collaboration; building trust/stronger teams; work-life issues; preparing for promotion; dealing with difficult people and transitioning to another chapter. She also teaches pre-retirement classes to government employees.
Coach Gregory holds two master’s degrees: an MBA and one in National Resource Strategy. undergraduate alma mater. She has three certificates from Georgetown University: Executive Leadership Coaching; Facilitation; and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Sandra lives in Northern Virginia and has traveled the world – appreciating the diversity of people and cultures. She loves to mentor people who do not think or look like her.
